About Jennifer Finke Communications

Jennifer Finke Communications is a communications firm specializing in strategic public relations campaigns and marketing editorial projects. The company is based in Denver, Colorado. Since its inception in March 2006, Jennifer Finke Communications has served many clients of various industries - ranging from baby products and pet photography to financial and consulting services.

The agency's mission is to bring practical, strategic and affordable public relations initiatives to small companies and entrepreneurs who value the attention to detail and personalized service a small agency offers.  In other words, Jennifer Finke Communications is a small agency with big ideas.  It is focused on delivering results and making each and every client feel valued and important, because they are.

About Jennifer Finke

Jennifer Finke founded Jennifer Finke Communications in March 2006. Over the past 10 years, Jennifer has worked at two of the most elite public relations firms in the world, Burson-Marsteller and Hill & Knowlton. During her tenure at Burson-Marsteller, the agency was named "Agency of the Year" by the leading industry publication, PR Week, in 2003.

Most recently, Jennifer leads public relations and marketing initiatives for Fuzzi Bunz, a reusable diaper manufacturer, and helped increase the company's revenues from $1M to $3M+ in less than three years.  Jennifer also represents other baby and parenting businesses that target new and expecting moms and has proven results securing media coverage for her clients in national publications such as American Baby, Baby Talk, Parents, Pregnancy and Wondertime, as well as on online parenting sites such as Babble, CoolMomPicks and other influential parenting-oriented websites and blogs.

In addition to her PR portfolio, Jennifer also tackles marketing and corporate writing/editing projects. She writes website copy, press kit materials, case studies and press releases.

As a seasoned communications professional, Jennifer has led content development initiatives for a leading financial services firm, where she wrote articles on personal finance topics and placed strategic stories for her client in various media outlets, including the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Minneapolis Star Tribune and Minnesota Business. Additionally, Jennifer managed the marketing services division of a large credit and information company and oversaw public relations for an address verification software provider. She also managed public relations initiatives for an HR consulting firm, where she developed an ongoing PR program that resulted in the placement of articles in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, HR Executive and HR Magazine.

While Jennifer has spent the bulk of her career working at PR agencies, she also has some corporate public relations experience. She spent nearly two years at the now defunct consulting and accounting firm, Arthur Andersen LLP. At Andersen, she worked on a variety of initiatives, including media strategy development and implementation, proactive media relations, and media analysis. She was a member of the global crisis communications team handling external communications during the Enron debacle.

Jennifer is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Journalism, and earned dual degrees with high honors in Journalism and Japanese studies. She currently resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband, Darren, her son, Benjamin (three years), and her daughter, Sydney (7 months).

When not working, Jennifer enjoys writing her blog for Examiner.com (Jennifer is the Denver Celebrity Examiner), co-writing her non-fiction book, inventing new baby products (she hopes to have her own baby business some day), rooting for the Denver Broncos, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
